NO2ID - Stop ID cards and the database state

We mentioned recently the case of Nicky and Mark Hardingham from Cromer in Norfolk, who have been the victims of vicious persecution by social workers and the Family Court.

Many members of Nicky's family suffer from Brittle Bone Disease (OI), with over 100 fractures between them in the last 60 years. But when Nicky took her second child to hospital and fractures were discovered, doctors and social workers refused to believe her and accused her of abusing the boy.

The Family Court upheld the accusation, took all three of her children away, and had them forcibly adopted - adoption is irreversible under English law.

Now Nicky is pregnant again, and the couple have been forced to go into hiding in Ireland as they are certain that the baby will be snatched from them as soon as it is born in ten days' time.

You can read more at the website started by Julian Radbourne to highlight this monstrous injustice.

The Family Court system in this country is secretive and heavily weighted against parents. Social workers do not have to prove that abuse has occurred before smashing families apart and ruining the lives of parents and children, merely suggest that it is "a probability". Parents, on the other hand, have to prove their innocence. They are not allowed to discuss their cases with anyone outside the Court (their MP or the newspapers, for instance) or they can be prosecuted for contempt.

We wrote about this case and other similar examples of the cruelty of what we call "the child abuse industry" recently on this page. The industry operates on two main principles. The first is that, as claimed by American paediatrician Robert Kirschner - "denial is highly indicative of abuse". In other words, if you say you didn't do it, that means you did.

The second is that any action on their part is justified if it saves just one child from being abused. What they won't admit is that the fear, anguish, disruption and loss they visit on their victims is just as deeply abusive as the action of even the most guilty of parents.

Nicky and Mark may have chosen wisely by fleeing to Ireland. Over there, it's a criminal offence to make a false accusation of child abuse.
